Finance Support Officer job summary
Finance Support Officer (Maternity Cover, 12 months)
Required for December 2024
Hours: 37 hours per week
8:15 - 16:45 Monday to Thursday, Friday 8:15 - 16:15 - 1 hour lunch break
Salary: £24099 (actual)
Term time plus 5 weeks (total 44 weeks per year)
Holiday entitlement 8 weeks around school holidays - (4 weeks taken during summer holiday and 4 weeks to be agreed).
The role of our Finance Support Officer is to support the school in its effective discharge of financial matters in accordance with procedures, policies and the legal framework. To undertake a range of administration duties to ensure that a comprehensive support service is provided to the school.
This role would be ideal for someone with experience of working in finance, has strong communication , organisation and IT skills and an enthusiastic, proactive, professional approach and enjoys working in a busy and demanding role.
The successfull candidate would be expected to work one day a month at Active Luton Head Office situated at Apex House, Upper George Street, Luton LU1 2RD
You would be:
- responsible for all transactional level processing in the schools finance system
- monitoring online payments for school activities
- responsible for the school's purchase ledger, purchase orders, invoices and petty cash
- providing support for audits
- maintaining school lettings
- using school online finance programs
- part of the Administration team and support in the main school reception area
