Newquay Tretherras | Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT)
Salary: £21,690.42 - £24,496.80 (Grade F)
At Newquay Tretherras, we are seeking a caring, organised and proactive First Aid Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our students. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, has strong administrative skills and can remain calm and reassuring in a busy school environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day first aid support, responding to student illnesses and injuries, maintaining accurate medical and accident records, and ensuring that students receive appropriate care throughout the school day. You will work closely with students, parents and carers, teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders to ensure medical needs are managed effectively and confidentially.
You will also support the administration of student medical information, maintain first aid supplies, assist with accident reporting and ensure that relevant information is recorded accurately on school systems. The role includes supporting staff with first aid guidance and training, helping to maintain individual healthcare arrangements and ensuring that safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection procedures are followed at all times.
We are looking for someone who is patient, empathetic and self-motivated, with good practical skills and a strong sense of responsibility. You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of administering first aid, excellent organisational skills and the ability to use your initiative while working both independently and as part of a team. A good standard of education, including English and Maths, and a three-day First Aid at Work certificate are essential. Experience of medical administration in a school environment, alongside knowledge of conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy and the use of EpiPens, would be advantageous.
Joining Cornwall Education Learning Trust means becoming part of a values-driven organisation committed to providing every learner with an exceptional educational experience. We believe in empowering our people, working collaboratively and creating a supportive environment where colleagues can develop and thrive.
As part of CELT, you will benefit from professional development opportunities, wellbeing support, family-friendly policies, access to a generous public sector pension scheme and a range of additional employee benefits.
If you are passionate about supporting young people, take pride in providing a high standard of care and want to make a positive difference to the school community, we would love to hear from you.
