First Aider job summary
The Beacon School is seeking a caring and organised individual to join us on a permanent basis as our First Aid Lead. This vital role involves overseeing the day-to-day medical provision for students, ensuring their health needs are met with professionalism and compassion. If you’re passionate about student welfare and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Your opportunity
As Lead First Aider, you will be at the heart of our medical and welfare provision, delivering timely care, managing care plans, and coordinating first aid responses across the school. You’ll work closely with students, staff, and families to ensure medical needs are met with professionalism and compassion, making a real difference in the daily lives of our school community.
What we're looking for:
- Experience working in an office or in an administrative capacity
- Experience of working in an educational environment
- Calm and confident approach in emergency situations
- Sensitive and understanding when supporting student well-being
- Strong record-keeping and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good general administration skills
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above
- First aid qualification (desirable)

The Details
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: GLF Associate Specialist Point 1 £26,272 to Point 7 - £27,670 (dependent on experience)
Actual Salary: £23,181.17 to £24,414.70 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 36 hours per week - 40 weeks per year
