What skills and experience we're looking for
Walkergate Community School are seeking to appoint highly skilled teachers to join their school from September 2026. You'll be responsible for the educational progress of learners within a particular class, whilst delivering enthusiastic and creative teaching that inspires our pupils.
We are looking for a colleague who has:
- Knowledge and understanding of primary subject and curriculum areas.
- A successful track record as a teacher that demonstrates high quality teaching and learning with a positive impact on pupil outcomes.
- Experience of designing and teaching effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
- An ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, colleagues and parents/carers and is passionate about making a difference.
What the school offers its staff
Our school is a large primary school based across 2 sites in the east end of Newcastle. We currently have 650 pupils aged from 2 to 11. Our school motto is ‘Together we make a difference’ and staff are dedicated to working with children, parents and families to ensure that all Walkergate children achieve their very best in everything they do in a safe, happy and nurturing environment.
Our school is one of eight primary and secondary schools within the NEAT Academy Trust family of schools.
