Food and Textiles Technician job summary
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic technician to play a key role in supporting our Food and Textiles departments, helping to deliver outstanding teaching and learning. This varied and hands-on role involves preparing and organising materials and equipment, supporting staff and students during practical lessons, and maintaining a safe, well-organised, and stimulating working environment.
The successful candidate will have:
The ability to manage, monitor and maintain accurate stock/equipment records.
The ability to follow strict procedures related to health, safety and hygiene, including the maintenance of equipment.
The ability to work as part of a team, understand classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
Good communication skills both written and oral and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and students.
Good planning and organisational skills.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment using your own initiative and prioritise.
A flexible and adaptable attitude.
Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
