FOOD TECHNICIAN
Salary: NJC Scale 3, point 5 to 6 (£25,583 to £25,989 per annum FTE - pay award pending). Actual salary £21,942.34 per annum on point 5.
Contract: Permanent. 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.00 and Friday 08.00 to 15.30. Term time plus 5 training days (39 weeks per year)

Are you organised, practical, and passionate about supporting young people in their learning? We are seeking a dedicated Food Technician to join our thriving Design & Technology department, supporting staff and students in our busy Food Technology classrooms.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a vital part in ensuring lessons run smoothly by preparing resources and ingredients, maintaining equipment, managing stock, and promoting high standards of health and safety throughout the department. You will work closely with teaching staff to create an engaging learning environment and support students during practical activities.
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and able to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the team. Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable, along with confidence in using kitchen equipment and a commitment to maintaining excellent health and safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic school environment and wants to make a real difference behind the scenes, helping students develop valuable practical skills and a love of food preparation.
