What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our Lower Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally within a mixed-age Year 3/4 class.

• Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the primary National Curriculum and expectations within Lower Key Stage 2.

• Have high expectations for all pupils and be committed to helping every child make strong progress.

• Establish clear routines and maintain high standards of pupil behaviour, creating a calm, positive and purposeful learning environment.

• Be confident in planning and delivering engaging, well-sequenced lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

• Work effectively as part of a phase team, contributing to shared planning, assessment and the development of the curriculum.

• Be willing to share ideas, resources and expertise and work collaboratively with colleagues.

• Use assessment effectively to identify gaps in learning and adapt teaching accordingly.

• Understand how to support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and disadvantaged pupils.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

• Be reflective, adaptable and keen to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Treleigh School is a Maintained Primary School located in Redruth, Cornwall graded as 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted in October 2023.
