General Teaching Assistant job summary

Teaching Assistants Level 2 (Grade 4, Level 1-4)

There are currently two roles currently available. One is 6.25 hours per day for three days (18.75 hours), the second is 6.25 hours per day for five days (31.25 hours). Both roles are classed as being part time.

We are seeking two dedicated practitioners to work as a Teaching Assistant Level 2 with additional MSA duties (paid at teaching assistant rate):

Post 1/ Three days per week, namely Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with possible additional hours

Post 2/ Five days per week

Hours are 6.25 hours per day with 30 minutes break.

The successful candidates will predominantly be supporting children in Key Stage 1 with complex SEND. The roles will involve supporting personal care including toileting. In addition, there may also be opportunity to support a Key Stage 2 child with social, emotional and mental health needs, dependent on the candidate’s experience. Any experience of supporting children with SEND will be extremely beneficial to these roles. The successful candidates will also support at lunchtime in the dining room and outside.
