What skills and experience we're looking for

General Teaching Assistant (GTA) SEN -Band C/D plus SEN allowance

Vacancy Hours 8:45-3:45pm (32.5 hours)

We are looking for a General Teaching Assistant (SEND) to support within our Y3/4 class at Stillington Primary School. Stillington School is an extremely exciting and special place to be. We pride ourselves on the high levels of care, which are fundamental to our ethos and are proud of our inclusive school, where we are committed to meeting the needs of all children. Stillington Primary School is part of the North Yorkshire Rural Schools federation, a group of four small rural schools. We are looking for a special and dedicated person to support special educational needs in our year 3/4 class. The role will entail supporting the pupils learning and aiding the teacher in the preparation of activities, lessons and lunchtime supervision. You will also be required to support children and organise play activities at break times. Knowledge or experience of working with children to support SEMH needs would be desirable. A level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable or the willingness to complete this.
