What You’ll Do

  • Build trust and confidence with young people as a keyworker
  • Support life skills like cooking, support student in making beds, and personal development
  • Deliver and support fun activities—cinema, bowling, crafts, swimming, or share your hobbies!
  • Prepare meals and complete at least one paid sleep-in per week
  • Support in school one day per week (no prior school experience needed)
  • Maintain a safe, positive environment and keep key working records

What We’re Looking For

  • Driving license (essential for transporting children in school vehicles)
  • Patience, energy, sense of humour, and commitment
  • Safeguarding awareness (Enhanced DBS check required)

A Typical Evening in Residence for the children:

  • 3:00 PM - Collect residents from school
  • 4:00 PM - Tea time
  • 4:30 PM - Plan evening activity (on or offsite)
  • 5:00-8:00 PM - Free time or activities (cinema, bowling, crafts, etc.)
  • 8:00 PM - Shower/bath time
  • 8:30 PM - Supper and free time
  • 9:30 PM - Settle for the evening

Morning routine: 7:00-9:00 AM - Breakfast and prepare for school
