Rochford Primary & Nursery School (A member of the South East Essex Academy Trust)
Require a part-time Governance Professional
Salary: Scale 4, points 7-8
Hours: 3 hours per week to be worked flexibly, term time only.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and capable administrator to this important role. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- preparation, typing and distribution of agendas and associated paperwork;
- taking of and typing of minutes at the Local Governing Body meetings as well as any working parties;
- maintaining accurate records of the Governing Body and its membership;
- attending training/briefings.; and
- advising the Governing Body on procedural issues, legal responsibilities and constitutional matters.
A willingness to work flexible hours is required as the workload is variable. The post will be term time only (38 weeks per year) based on an allocation of 3 hours per week. Hours need to be worked at times convenient to the Governing body and will include early evening meetings.
Knowledge of how schools and governing bodies operate would be an advantage along with previous experience of similar work, but training can be provided.
