What skills and experience we're looking for

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding role combining classroom support, pastoral intervention work and whole-class teaching during teachers' PPA time.

The successful candidate will work across the school, supporting children with a wide range of needs and abilities. Alongside delivering learning activities and interventions, they will play an important role in promoting children's wellbeing, confidence and readiness to learn.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of supporting children with additional needs, building positive relationships and helping children overcome barriers to learning.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children and understands how to support them to succeed
  • Builds positive, nurturing relationships and has high expectations for all children
  • Is committed to inclusion and has experience of supporting children with SEND, SEMH or additional needs
  • Can confidently deliver interventions and support learning with individuals, small groups and whole classes
  • Promotes positive behaviour and supports children's wellbeing and emotional development
  • Works effectively as part of a team whilst showing initiative, flexibility and professionalism
  • Is committed to safeguarding, continual professional development and making a positive difference to children's lives
  • Shares our values of kindness, curiosity and striving to be our best
