    An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Science teacher to lead Biology at Hatch End High School as a part-time role. You will be joining an experienced, well led and resourced Science Faculty. The science leadership team comprises a Head of Faculty, Heads of Chemistry, Biology & Physics, a BTEC lead, KS3 Co-ordinator and lead practitioner. Science is a hugely successful and popular subject at Hatch End High School at both Key Stage 4, offering both combined and separated sciences and at Key Stage 5 where we offer all three A-levels plus the BTEC Applied Science course.

    The successful applicant will:

    • be an outstanding classroom teacher;
    • have a proven and demonstrable track record of success at KS4 & 5 Biology;
    • have a good understanding of the current educational developments, especially those relating to classroom-based practice;
    • have the highest expectations of students;
    • have the ability to lead whole school improvement and some previous leadership experience;
    • have an enthusiastic and positive approach within and beyond the classroom;
    • have energy, stamina and a sense of humour.
