What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Head of Computing to join our thriving middle school in September 2026. We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher who understands the unique opportunity a middle school setting offers: building strong foundations, nurturing curiosity whilst promoting independence, and preparing pupils for the next stage of their education. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping Computing across these formative years, developing pupils’ digital literacy, computational thinking and creativity as they transition from first school to high school. You must be:
- inclusive, adaptable and responsive to the needs of all learners
- able to demonstrate a wide range of engaging teaching strategies that secure strong outcomes for all
- able to work effectively in partnership as a member of our dynamic and supportive staff team, and be an integral part of our school family
- consistent in promoting excellent behaviour through relationships built on respect and a enabling a positive approach to learning
The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative and supportive environment, contributing to raising standards for all pupils. High quality Computing provision at this stage is vital in laying secure foundations and inspiring confidence, ensuring every pupil leaves Year 8 ready for the demands and opportunities of high school and beyond.
