Head of Faculty - Performing Arts job summary

George Salter Academy is a friendly, happy and vibrant 11-18 academy, serving a multi-cultural community and we are seeking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Head of Faculty – Performing Arts from Easter 2024, or sooner. It would be desirable, but not essential, for the successful candidate to be a Music specialist.

Our Performing Arts Department consists of three specialist subject areas: Dance, Drama and Music, all of which are delivered across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate will lead, manage and develop the Performing Arts faculty whilst inspiring and managing staff and students to secure outstanding outcomes for all.

To discuss the position or to arrange a visit, please contact Vice Principal, Helen Jones, via e-mail at H.Jones@georgesalter.com.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 11th December 2023. Interviews will be held shortly thereafter.
