Head of Governance (hybrid and part-time working available) job summary

Salary: Grade K (£47,420 to £51,514 per annum)

Hours:

37 hours per week, all year round – some requirement to work outside of usual school hours e.g. evenings and occasional weekend. Part-time working will be considered.

Location:

Hybrid working available to suit the appointee and needs of the Trust or a base at one of our academies could be an option. There will be a requirement to travel to our Trust central office (Chatteris, Cambridgeshire) and our academies on a needs basis.

At the Active Learning Trust we recognise the importance of high-quality governance at all levels and its pivotal strategic function We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Governance with a real passion for driving improvement through strong Trust governance. This role is the lead governance professional in our Multi-academy Trust and involves responsibility for all aspects of governance and compliance.

The appointee will provide strategic leadership to the governance service and ensure the adherence to good practice and meeting all statutory and regulatory requirements. At the same time lead on the development of the Trust’s governance framework and drive improvements to its systems, processes and structures.
