Head of Music job summary
Wootton Academy Trust [WAT] consists of Wootton Upper School, which has 900 pupils in Years 9-11 and Kimberley 16-19 College, which in September 2021 will have 700 students in Years 12 and 13 studying Level 3 courses.

The vacancy has arisen as our current post holder is moving to a post nearer to their home.
Traditionally, Music has had a high profile at the Trust with regular concerts and exchange visits including [ pre-Covid 19] bi-annual to Bamberg and annual to Bremen.
Our peripatetic instrumental and singing teachers come from the Bedford Music Co-operative. The Trust continues to provide a free twenty-minute lesson from a Bedford Music Co-operative teacher to all pupils studying Music GCSE and A Level.
Kimberley opened in 2013 in a state-of-the-art building that provides excellent resources for both staff and students. Currently, A level Music is taught at Kimberley College. KS 3 Music and GCSE Music is taught at Wootton Upper School.
Our Creative Arts teachers work together in a local area to share best practice. In addition to music, the local area includes our Drama and Dance staff, as well as Art and Photography teachers.
Our Head of Music will be an outstanding teacher able to teach A Level Music and should have a creative and dynamic approach to the teaching and learning and the skills to produce high quality musical events.
