Job summary
Head of Physics
Required September 2021
A once in a career opportunity to work in a new, state of the art £34 million school.
This is a genuinely unique opportunity to take on a founding role at the first ‘all through’ school in Essex.
The Beaulieu Park School opened the doors to 60 Reception children in September 2018. In September 2019, another cohort was welcomed into the Primary School, together with 180 Year 7 students. We are pleased to have been heavily oversubscribed each year since and for next year too. The school will grow one year at a time until it is full in 2024. We are already planning our 6th form provision. In September 2021, the Secondary School will consist of Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 students.
We are looking to appoint a Head of Physics to take responsibility for Physics delivery as we move towards GCSE and ultimately A Level teaching.
This is a genuinely creative role for an ambitious Physics teacher that has the ability and create, develop and drive an outstanding and ever growing subject area.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who has a successful record of enabling high achievement, of forging productive relationships with all students and their families regardless of their background or ability. They will be reflective, excited by taking risks and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead and work alongside to develop their skills.
The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is committed within its schools to:
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety, and the spiritual and cultural development of children and young people;
• Promoting equality of opportunity and community cohesion where the diversity of different backgrounds and circumstances is appreciated and positively valued;
• The fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs
and expects all staff, volunteers and other workers to share in this commitment.
As a trust, we welcome applications from colleagues from all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from colleagues from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds and people that identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender plus (LGBT+) as these groups are currently underrepresented in our trust.
In compliance with safer recruitment procedures and guidelines, all applications must be made on an application form, CVs will not be accepted. This appointment will be subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and satisfactory references. The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is an equal opportunities employer.
