Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the pastoral care of an allocated year group, promoting excellent behaviour, attendance, wellbeing and personal development.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents and carers, working collaboratively to remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes.
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour and safeguarding concerns, implementing appropriate interventions and working closely with internal teams and external agencies where required.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral colleagues and support services to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Analyse attendance, behaviour and pastoral data to identify trends and implement effective strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Promote and uphold the Academy's high expectations for behaviour, attendance, uniform and conduct, ensuring students embody the values of the Great Schools Trust.
  • Maintain accurate pastoral records, contribute to meetings and support the wider safeguarding responsibilities of the Academy.
  • Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role, as directed by the Principal or senior leaders.
