Role: Head of Year (Pastoral)

Salary: Grade 8, SCP 24 – 28 (£29,607 - £32,734)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 8.15am – 4.20pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8.20am – 3.30pm (Friday)

Contract type: Permanent

Reporting to: Deputy Head, Inclusion and Culture

About the Role

Toenable all pupils to engage in education by providing leadership and support around student welfare, behavioural and attendance issues. This will involve working with staff, parents/carers and pupils to address barriers to learning and make sure effective policies and procedures are in place.

Your Responsibilities

What we are looking for

  • PCSE and evidence of CPD
  • Experience of working in a school environment or educational setting
  • Experience of working with children / young people with additional needs (such as SEND, behavioural, mental health)
  • Experience of supporting and working with parents of young people with additional needs
  • Experience of planning and delivering targeted interventions.
  • Experience of working with external stakeholders / agencies.
