What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Broadwindsor School are seeking to appoint a Headteacher to start in September 2025. The position also includes some teaching duties, negotiable at appointment.

Broadwindsor Primary School is a vibrant Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School (NOR 95) situated in the village of Broadwindsor, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is held in high esteem by parents and sits at the heart of the local community.

Our school also plays a full part in a thriving local partnership of schools (West Dorset Schools’ Collaboration).We are looking to appoint a highly skilled and enthusiastic leader, who can start in the Autumn term 2025.Our new Headteacher will have experience of successful school leadership in a senior role; a proven track record of excellent teaching in the primary phase, innovative skills in enabling all children to flourish including those with SEND and is supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.
