Headteacher job summary
Governors are now, in anticipation of the retirement of our well respected headteacher, seeking to appoint a visionary and outstanding leader to take up this rewarding position from September 2021.
As our headteacher you will continue to lead us on our journey of excellence, providing collaborative leadership that is dynamic and inspirational whilst seeking to preserve the important values at the heart of our school. You will be a proven leader who is pioneering, courageous and passionate about teaching and learning and who is committed to the provision of an inclusive education for all our children.
We are a forward-thinking governing body with aspirations for school development and an understanding of future opportunities, and we believe this position represents an exceptional opportunity for someone with drive, vision and ambition to lead an already outstanding school with a long-serving and committed complement of staff. Accordingly, we are looking for an individual with significant senior leadership experience in the primary sector (previous experience as a headteacher or deputy headteacher is viewed as essential) who possesses outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to enthuse, motivate and engage pupils, colleagues and other stakeholders.
The successful applicant will be supported by an experienced and hard-working leadership team and an enthusiastic team of teaching and support staff in working with well-behaved pupils who are recognised as being hardworking and keen to learn.

Carr Green is a large primary school set in extensive grounds. We aim to provide a stimulating, supportive and happy learning environment for our pupils as well as a broad range of recreational experiences.
