Serving children aged 2 to 11, Dallam is a proud member of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) and is committed to ensuring that every child is nurtured, inspired and empowered to achieve their very best. We are looking for a leader who shares our passion for educational excellence and can work alongside our talented staff, engaged families and supportive Trust to shape the next stage of Dallam's development.
As Headteacher, you will be the leading professional at the academy, accountable to the Local Governing Challenge Board (LGCB) and the Trust Board. You will provide vision, leadership, and direction, ensuring the academy is managed and organised to meet its aims and ambitions. You will also play a key role in The Challenge Academy Trust’s Central Executive Team, contributing to the strategic direction of the trust and collaborating with other Principals and Headteachers to advance educational outcomes.

Provide inspirational, strategic, and operational leadership to ensure continued school improvement and academic excellence.
Foster a culture of high expectations, equity, and aspiration for all.
Work collaboratively with The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) and other stakeholders to maximise opportunities for students and staff alike.
Champion staff development, wellbeing, and innovation in teaching and learning.
Ensure an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment where all students can thrive.

Has a proven track record of successful senior leadership in a primary setting
Demonstrates drive, resilience, and integrity to lead with conviction and compassion
Is passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child thrives.
Has a clear vision for outstanding primary education.
Can motivate, challenge and empower staff to achieve excellence.
Builds strong relationships with pupils, families, governors and the wider community.
Embraces innovation whilst maintaining focus on teaching, learning and achievement.
Can work effectively within a collaborative Trust environment.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an assessment centre, to be held at the academy on Wednesday 14 October 2026
Following the assessment centre, candidates will be reviewed with successful candidates being invited to a formal panel interview on Thursday 15 October 2026
