Welcome to Hugh Sexey Church of England Middle School!
We are very proud of our school and the progress that our pupils make, both academically and socially. In June 2012 the school was judged as 'OUTSTANDING' by Ofsted and in September 2017 we had a Church inspection (SIAMS) which also judged our school to be ‘OUTSTANDING’.
We are a very busy, friendly learning community, with lots going on. Our pupils make outstanding progress here - not only academically but in all areas of school life. Our Christian foundation is very important in the life of our school and shapes all that we do on a daily basis and this is strengthened through our strong links with the local churches. Children are at the heart of everything we do and this has been enhanced further with the formal collaboration with our partner First and Upper schools in the Wessex Learning Trust. We really do believe that ‘We learn together’ and through this promote a well-planned 2-19 school curriculum and personal development journey.
We are a very popular oversubscribed Middle school, attracting many families from outside of our catchment area. This is because parents tell us that they prefer the three-tiered, middle school system and feel it promotes a more effective education for their child.
