Due to the retirement of our current Headteacher, we are looking for a new inspirational Headteacher to take us to our next chapter. Building on the strength of our school story so far and working closely with all our key stakeholders, are you the person to lead this adventure?
Shelton Infant and Nursery School is a caring, community-focused and successful infant and nursery school located in a suburb of Derby close to Rolls Royce and the railway industry. At Shelton Infant School each child is valued as an individual. With a highly skilled and committed team of teachers and teaching assistants, who always ‘go the extra mile’, each child is assured of achieving as highly as possible.
We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who:
- Can build excellent relationships with children, staff, parents, Governors, neighbouring schools and the wider community.
- Is committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
- Will help children Achieve Well, Aim High, Have Fun whilst realising their full potential.
- Will ensure the children are prepared and ready for the next step in their education journey, ensuring a smooth transition from our school and on to the next.
- Will value our children and take pride in their achievements.
- Has excellent rapport with children, inspiring their confidence and determination.
- Can demonstrate substantive successful senior leadership in a school.
- Has the ability to build and articulate a shared vision and engage people to secure a successful future.
- Has the ability to maintain the current inclusive ethos of the school and is committed to, and has a vision for ensuring inclusion, diversity, and access.
- Will further develop a culture where everyone’s contribution is valued and individuals are encouraged to succeed.
- Has proven experience of building, developing, inspiring, and supporting a successful leadership team and can delegate appropriately.
- Is a confident and persuasive leader, who listens and values the views of others.
- Is approachable, with excellent communication skills.
