Headteacher job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Headteacher of extraordinary ability, capable of embracing our ethos and driving continuous improvement in these challenging times. Our School is navigating the present pandemic response well, but your early success will nonetheless depend upon re-establishing a stable teaching and learning environment in 2021 and ensuring that high standards are sustained. Longer term, you will focus on positioning the School for an even greater leadership role in the borough and beyond. This is an opportunity for an existing Headteacher or highly experienced deputy, who fully shares our vision of inclusivity combined with excellence, and who is able to consistently put principles into practice. You will need to be an outstanding, open-minded and outward-facing practitioner, whose knowledge of teaching and learning is driven by evidence and who is keen to share and collaborate with others. You will be a believer in distributive leadership, parental engagement and listening to children. You will also be a dynamic leader, inspiring commitment from the rest of the team. You will be an excellent communicator who is approachable and capable of building on the relationships and partnerships we have throughout the borough. You will have the support of dedicated staff, a committed governing body, and a close partnership with Camden Learning. Above all, you will have a proven track record that prepares you to build innovatively on the many types of excellence already demonstrated by PHS, while articulating a strategic vision in a way that ensures the continued support of all stakeholders.
