Following the promotion of the current Headteacher to a strategic role in Catholic Education in the Diocese, the Governors are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher. The governors are looking to appoint a Headteacher who is passionate about realising students’ potential and maintaining our ethos where students and staff work together in a dynamic, happy and supportive environment.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Headteacher who:

  • is a practising Catholic with a strong passion and commitment to Catholic education
  • is currently a successful Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher
  • is an inspirational leader with a clear vision for the future of the school, building on its current progress
  • has proven leadership and managerial skills to steer the school through the ever-changing educational landscape
  • has the passion and commitment to ensure that every child succeeds and is treated as an individual
  • has a proven track record of implementing changes and raising standards in teaching and learning, within a consistent, caring, accountable ethos.

St Nicholas Catholic High School is a mixed catholic secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Northwich, Cheshire, and caters for approximately 1,250 pupils.

The school opened as a secondary modern in 1965, becoming a comprehensive school in 1972. It is a voluntary-aided school.
