Headteacher job summary

The most exciting headship opportunity in the country! We are seeking an inspirational headteacher to lead Steyning Grammar School (SGS) - a unique, supportive and dynamic learning community and the newest member of the Bohunt Education Trust (BET) family of schools. If you are an experienced senior leader (existing headteacher or outstanding deputy) with commitment, drive, enthusiasm and a proven record of raising standards and improving student outcomes, who could steer this extraordinary day and boarding school to even greater success, we want to hear from you. You will need to offer: *a compelling vision for education, excellent leadership, communication and personal skills *high visibility and the ability to create an aspirational culture within which all students are empowered to become the best version of themselves *encouragement of all to engage with and build on the School’s strengths in character education, promoting a full and inspiring co-curricular provision and further developing outdoor education opportunities for every student *challenging goal-setting for young people in your care and the ability to motivate your community to achieve them
