Stoberry Park School is a primary school in the small city of Wells in Somerset. We are a local authority maintained school on the outskirts of the city. We have built a reputation for caring for our pupils while developing high standards across a rich and varied curriculum.
We are looking for somebody with innovative ideas to help the school create and encourage enquiring minds and the development of a thriving sustainable future with positive learning skills and attitudes.
Our children and school community are looking for a Headteacher who will:
• Have ambitious standards for all pupils, overcoming disadvantage and advancing equality, instilling a strong sense of ownership and accountability from staff for the impact their work has on pupils’ outcomes

• Be visible and accessible, engaging positively with children, staff, parents, governors, and the community
• Provide a safe, calm environment for all pupils and staff, focused on safeguarding pupils and developing their exemplary behaviour in school and in the wider society
• Evaluate the school’s performance and identify the priorities for continuous improvement and raising standards. Can be creative in dealing with finance and budgeting in these times of reducing budgets, to deliver the best education and support to our children
• Ensure that the child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures adopted by the governing body are fully implemented and followed by all staff
In return we offer:
• Confident, happy children who enjoy their time in school and are eager to learn and succeed
