Headteacher job summary

Thank you for showing an interest in our headteacher appointment. Due to the retirement of our inspirational and successful headteacher, the governors are looking for a committed, enthusiastic headteacher who will continue to drive forwards our nurturing and caring, happy school. The Willows Catholic Primary School is an outstanding school, judged both by Ofsted and Catholic Schools Inspectorate, rooted firmly in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our mission statement, ‘God loves me, God loves everyone’ is lived out by pupils and staff who thrive and flourish at our school. The Willows Catholic Primary School is an oversubscribed, popular school that is central to the Parish of the Holy Cross, serving the villages of Kirkham and Wesham. Parental links are very strong and our hardworking, dedicated team of staff and governors ensure the pupils’ wellbeing and development underpin all school decisions.

We have recently joined the Blessed Edward Bamber multi academy trust and the successful candidate must be able to continue the growth of the collaborative, faith-filled direction as part of our Catholic schools’ family.

We are looking for a leader who demonstrates strategic thinking and planning that builds, communicates and carries forward a coherent and shared vision for the Catholic ethos of the school. Our new headteacher will continue the fantastic work put in place by the current headteacher and drive forward our outstanding provision; being a strong and committed leader modelling the highest standards for our extremely hardworking and dedicated staff team.

The Governing Body are committed to supporting our new headteacher to deliver excellence in all areas of school life. We offer a warm, caring and welcoming environment with committed staff, engaged parents and carers, encouraging governors and, most of all, receptive children who want to learn and succeed.

We would like to thank you again for your interest in the post and we look forward to receiving your application.
