What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an innovative and forward-looking Headteacher to build upon the strong foundations laid by our current headteacher who is retiring.

We are looking for someone with commitment to upholding and maintaining the distinctive Christian ethos of our school. The appointed person will be someone who will lead our passionate, dedicated team of professionals offering a broad and exciting curriculum that encourages every child to find and fulfil their potential, both academically and beyond the classroom.

You will be committed to encouraging personal development and can inspire others to believe in the fundamental importance and value of education in young people’s lives.

If you feel you can develop strong relationships with children, families, staff and the community and will work with a child-centred approach, encouraging every child to ‘strive to be the best they can be’, then we would like to hear from you.

What the school offers its staff

We are a Church of England, local authority, voluntary controlled primary school that caters for pupils from 2 to 11 years old. Situated in the beautiful Dorset seaside town of Weymouth, the school is close to the harbourside and is within walking distance of Holy Trinity Church.

The school is a member of the Chesil Collaboration of 7 local authority maintained primary schools who work in partnership for the benefit of pupils, families and the wider community of Weymouth whilst recognising each school’s uniqueness and individuality.
