Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is eager to work alongside both experienced and dedicated staff. The position will be fixed term until August 31st 2023 after which time the role will be re-considered.
We are seeking someone who can:
• Play an important role in teaching the National Curriculum to pupils in both KS1/KS2, ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times.
• Assist the Headteacher/Class teacher/SENCO to promote pupils’ academic, social and emotional development through the development and implementation of programmes of pupil work and support
• Support pupils in activities on a one to one basis and in groups, to pupils with disabilities, learning difficulties or behavioural problems.
• To work under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff, to implement agreed programmes of work with individuals/groups, or whole classes.
• To provide timely assessment and feedback to children and class teacher through marking and accurate recording of achievements and progress according to school policies
