Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is eager to work alongside both experienced and dedicated staff. The position will be fixed term until August 31st 2023 after which time the role will be re-considered. We are seeking someone who can: • Play an important role in teaching the National Curriculum to pupils in both KS1/KS2, ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times. • Assist the Headteacher/Class teacher/SENCO to promote pupils’ academic, social and emotional development through the development and implementation of programmes of pupil work and support • Support pupils in activities on a one to one basis and in groups, to pupils with disabilities, learning difficulties or behavioural problems. • To work under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff, to implement agreed programmes of work with individuals/groups, or whole classes. • To provide timely assessment and feedback to children and class teacher through marking and accurate recording of achievements and progress according to school policies We can offer you: • A welcoming and caring school, that encourages everyone to give their best at all times, that aims to contribute all they can to our life as a school community. • A collaborative and supportive school community that is underpinned by the Christian ethos, driven by a shared passion of children’s welfare and education. • A rewarding and exciting working environment, that inspires and challenges within a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. • Relevant training and a fantastic opportunity to develop/enhance your career in a small village school.
