What is the job role?

We are seeking to appoint a competent and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in our school from September 2025.

We are a friendly and inclusive school with a happy and motivated staff working towards the best outcomes for our children.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to appoint someone who:-

• Has a record of delivering high quality teaching and learning in a primary school setting;
• Is knowledgeable about the Primary National Curriculum and has taught a range of subjects;
• Is competent and confident to teach pupils within a specific phase KS1, Lower KS2 or Upper KS2;
• Has a positive approach to behaviour management and promotes a ‘can do’ attitude;
• Has high expectations of themselves and others;
• Can work as part of a team and is an effective communicator;
• Is organised and can use initiative as needed;
• Wishes to continue to develop as a professional.

The successful candidate will be hardworking, enthusiastic, flexible, versatile and able to work independently and as part of a team.

You will be based in a Key Stage Phase, but will also be required to deliver planned learning to classes within your phase to cover PPA fortnightly and to support teaching and learning.  You may also be asked to cover absence occasionally across the school by delivering planned learning to individuals and groups as directed.
