At St Sebastian’s, we believe in love for others and learning in every step. These values are at the heart of all we do—guiding our relationships, shaping our curriculum, and inspiring our children to grow not just as learners, but as kind, thoughtful members of their community.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and nurturing team where every child feels valued, encouraged, and empowered to achieve their best.
About Our School:
As a Church of England primary school, our mission is to create a warm, inclusive environment where every child is cherished and encouraged to be the best they can be. We work in close partnership with our local church and families to ensure a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
The Role:
As HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting learning across the school. You will work collaboratively with teachers to lead and deliver lessons, support groups and individuals, and help shape high-quality provision. This role requires creativity, initiative, and a genuine love for helping children grow—in knowledge, confidence, and character.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience/qualification)
- Has a proven track record of supporting teaching and learning in a primary setting
- Is inspired by the values of compassion, kindness, and lifelong learning
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is confident leading whole-class teaching under direction of teaching staff
- Is patient, reflective, and enthusiastic about children’s learning journeys
In return, we offer:
- A caring and values-led school community
- Children who are curious, polite, and eager to learn
- A dedicated and supportive team of staff
- A strong Christian ethos that supports every member of our school family
- Opportunities for continued professional development
We warmly welcome visits to the school so you can see first-hand what makes St Sebastian’s such a special place to work and learn. To arrange a visit and meet with the Head of School, Sarah Cohen, please contact Jodie Page on hr@keysacademytrust.org or contact the school office on 01344 772427.
Join us as we walk together in love and learning, every step of the way.
