Our School Vision

At Holy Trinity we have high expectations and aim to ensure that everyone is loved, nurtured, inspired and empowered within a caring and inclusive Christian community. We teach our children Christian values and promote positive attitudes to learning to ensure that they have all they need to become lifelong learners who reach their full potential and become good global citizens.

We value the contribution of enthusiastic and committed staff who want to make a difference to children, both academically and as all-round individuals.

Do you believe passionately in the values outlined in our school vision?

What our staff say about us:

"You're well supported. You're never on your own. Friendly, supportive team. Training is provided."

We are a large two-form entry primary school and are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide PPA cover in our Early Years Foundation Stage on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons (12:00 pm–3:30 pm), together with an additional 30 minutes of paid planning time each week.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with our youngest learners and can deliver high-quality learning experiences while class teachers undertake their Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time. The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years team to ensure continuity of learning in a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment.

Our school is an excellent place to develop professionally. We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing training and support, and opportunities to work collaboratively with experienced colleagues. We have high expectations of our pupils and staff within a caring and supportive environment.

Standards of achievement are high, our children are well behaved, parents are supportive and staff enjoy working at Holy Trinity. We are fortunate to have extensive school grounds, including an outdoor classroom, school pond, osier bed and willow dome, providing wonderful opportunities for outdoor learning.

Ofsted (May 2022) noted that:

"Staff feel extremely valued and respected. They are highly positive about the support that they receive to manage their workload and well-being."

In April 2018, Holy Trinity Primary School joined The Alliance Multi-Academy Trust (TAMAT), a partnership of five like-minded local primary schools. This provides excellent opportunities for collaboration, sharing best practice and professional development.

We are committed to looking after our most valuable resource—our staff—and actively promote a positive work-life balance to enable everyone to give their best for our children.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds HLTA status or has the appropriate qualifications and experience to undertake the role.

• Has experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

• Can confidently lead whole-class learning during teachers' PPA time.

• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Is committed to supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.

• Shares our Christian values and commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment.

• Works effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

We warmly welcome visits to the school to meet our amazing children and committed staff. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit. We also encourage you to explore our website to learn more about our school, ethos and our recent Ofsted report.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position, working Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm, plus an additional 30 minutes of paid planning time each week, providing PPA cover within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible.

Closing Date: Wednesday 2nd September 2026 at 12 noon

Interview Date: Tuesday 8th September 2026
