What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled HLTA. The role will include supporting teachers within a classroom and leading interventions along with providing adhoc cover to classes throughout the school.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and knowledgeable, keen to work in partnership with current staff and able to work under instruction as well as having the ability to use their own initiative. They will challenge and excite our children and have the ability to consistently deliver high quality learning experiences.
The successful candidate will:
- Meet higher level teaching assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience
- Work alongside class teachers to deliver in or out of class support to address the gaps in learning
- Be capable of working with small groups of children
- Be committed and highly motivated
- Develop positive working relationships with children, parents and staff
- Support the school’s ethos
- Be enthusiastic, a team player and able to work independently using their own initiative
- Have a commitment to raise achievement and standards
- Be flexible in order to achieve the best outcomes for the children
- Be adaptable and prepared to work across the whole primary phase
