Appointment of Higher Level Teaching Assistant x2

Reports to: Headteacher

Location: Hodge Hill Primary School, Birmingham, B36 8LD

Contract: Fixed term for 12 months

Pattern: Term-time only, 36.5 hours a week. To start September 2025.

Closing date: 9am, 7th July 2025

Interviews: w/c 14th July 2025

Salary: Grade 4, £33,366 to £40,476 pro rata

We are looking for two HLTAs to start September 2025. This will be a fixed term contract for 12 months. About the role:

To support teaching staff in the development and education of children including the provision of specialist skills and knowledge at an advanced level across a range of disciplines

To focus on pupils’ learning in the classroom

To use direct short-term intervention strategies effectively

Follow and actively promote the school’s vision and values You will have a proven record of:

Delivering cover for Class Teachers

Understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children

Delivering and evaluating lessons, giving feedback when needed

Working effectively, flexibly and independently You will be:

Confident in using a range of behaviour management skills

Attendance at appropriate staff meetings and parents evenings

Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
