We are looking for an inspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will play a key role delivering high quality teaching and learning throughout the school. The Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will be committed to providing a creative and invigorating learning environment for all children.
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will work collaboratively with our teachers to deliver high quality lessons and interventions which form part of the school curriculum. You will be driven to support teachers to help raise attainment standards and encouraging children to reach their full potential.
The role will include providing class cover across our school in addition to supporting within classes. As part of planned cover, we would be keen to support any new-to-role staff members with ECT-style coaching. This is a particularly good opportunity for any newly qualified teachers to further refine their skills before progressing into the ECF.
We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants who:
- Have experience of working within a primary school
- Have an understanding of effective teaching methods and able to plan, organise and support teaching and learning activities
- Can build relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes
- Are passionate about supporting children with SEMH and SEND
- Have experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above
- Have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working
- NVQ2/3 or equivalent or working towards the qualification is desirable
