Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic HLTA looking to make a meaningful difference in a vibrant and inclusive school?

Kempston Rural Primary School is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. This is a fixed-term position until 31st August 2026, with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent for the right candidate following a successful probation period.

You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, including delivering high-quality lessons to whole classes, leading small group and 1:1 interventions, and promoting inclusive, adaptive teaching strategies. You’ll work closely with teachers and leaders to ensure all pupils thrive in a well-resourced, creative, and supportive environment.

Working Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-3:30pm

Friday: 8:00am-1:30pm

(31.5 hours per week)

Hours may be negotiable for the right candidate.
