Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time)

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated experienced SEN teaching assistant, who enjoys working collaboratively, to join our supportive and successful team. You will be a dedicated professional, committed to ensuring the best life chances for children, and someone who is keen to develop their knowledge and skills of best practice. You will have experience of working with children with ASD and support our wider SEN team with the development of strategies and resources.
We have children from nursery to year 3 with a specialist provision for children with ASD and we will eventually grow into a two form entry school as the Ebbsfleet Green Community grows around us.
We have a great opportunity for a HLTA to join our team. You will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under the supervision of a qualified teacher. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil’s achievement, progress and development.
As an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant , you will :-
- Have great organisational skills
- IT literate and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of leading, at some level within the classroom
- It would be advantageous to have a HLTA qualification or similar
