Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary

28.75 Hours per week

Mon - Fri 8.30-15.15

Term Time only +5 insets

We are looking for an HLTA/TA who has the experience, motivation and skillset to work with our wonderful teachers, teaching assistants, leadership team and other stakeholders to ensure that every pupil is achieving their full potential. This position would suit a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is able to be flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out regular PPA cover teaching for teachers
  • Supporting classes by covering teacher absence and leadership release time across the school
  • Meeting the academic, developmental and emotional needs of children
  • Creating a safe and stimulating environment to promote learning and inclusion for all children
  • Building and maintaining relationships with parents and carers and other childcare professionals/agencies
