Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Student Support Base) job summary

At Callerton Academy, the Stop Over Hub (Student Support Base) is used by at least 30 students across the week on a full time or part time basis. The range of needs supported with the Stop Over Hub is varied from medical, emotional, SEN and EAL. The aim of the provision is to support EBSNA students accessing school as well as enabling anxious students to manage a full day in school. The role will be varied and interesting, working with a wide range of stakeholders to provide high quality support focused on maximising the outcomes for all students who need support.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced and energetic High Level Teaching Assistant to take a leading role in supporting students in our Stop Over Hub. The successful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal skills, be well organised, be able to organise students and their work. The person appointed will have an excellent track record of supporting students at KS3 and KS4. A high level of literacy, numeracy and excellent ICT skills will be required.
