HLTA (Assistant SENCO) job summary
Trustees are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with the SENCO as part of the Inclusion Team. The successful candidate will support the SENCO in the delivery of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision within the school, and with the aim of raising SEN pupil achievement. Excellent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills are required.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks with statutory bodies. It is a criminal offence to apply for, or accept a position (paid or unpaid), working with children in regulated activity if you are excluded from such work by virtue of a court order or exclusions by the DBS.
