HLTA - English job summary

The main purpose of the role is to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.

The successful candidate will have:

Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience
Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths.
Training in relevant learning strategies e.g., literacy strategy
Specialist skills/training in curriculum or learning area e.g., sign language, ICT, EAL

About Maiden Erlegh School in Reading

In January 2014, a bid from Maiden Erlegh Trust to the Department for Education to open a new school in the East Reading area was successful. The central proposition of the bid was to open a new school that shared the ethos, culture and values of the well-established Maiden Erlegh School in Earley, Reading, Berkshire.

We proudly opened Maiden Erlegh School in Reading to its first Year 7 students in September 2015.
