Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Special Resource Provision (SRP)Salary: KGA Scale Band 6 Points 9-13
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term-time only (plus 2inset days)
Start Date: September 2026

We are doing something incredibly exciting. This term, we are opening a brand-new, purpose-built Special Resource Provision (SRP) within our vibrant secondary school. This base will be a safe, nurturing, and ambitious haven for students with complex and moderate learning difficulties (CMLD), enabling them to access a tailored curriculum while remaining an active part of our mainstream school community.
We aren’t just looking for an assistant; we are looking for a founding pioneer. As our new HLTA, you will work hand-in-hand with our SRP Lead to shape the environment, design the routines, and deliver high-impact learning sessions that make our students feel seen, heard, and capable of amazing things.
Why you’ll love working here:A Blank Canvas: You will have a genuine voice in how this new provision is run, structured, and decorated.
The Best of Both Worlds: The tight-knit, supportive feel of a specialist SEND environment, backed by the resources and career progression of a thriving secondary school.
True Impact: You will see the direct results of your creativity and patience as our founding cohort of students grow in confidence and independence.
You hold an HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience/degree) and have a deep understanding of complex and moderate learning needs.
You are a master of adaptability—capable of leading a small group through a functional maths lesson one hour, and co-regulating a student having a sensory overload the next.
You bring infectious energy, resilience, and a belief that there is no "one-size-fits-all" in education.
