Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
St James' CE Primary - Primary Phase

We are seeking to appoint a committed and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across St James'.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Supporting pupils’ learning across the primary range
  • Working with individuals and groups, including pupils with SEND
  • Contributing to assessment, planning and pupil progress
  • Supporting the wider life of the school

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Has strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
  • Is flexible, proactive and highly organised
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Is committed to raising standards and supporting all learners
