What skills and experience we're looking for
The headteacher of Shoeburyness High School and the CEO of Southend East Community Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a Home School Liaison Officer.
This post is integral to the safeguarding and support of students across all key stages. The role will involve 1-2-1 mentoring, home visits, liaison with multiple external agencies, the creation, organisation and implementation of short term intervention programmes and support of students who have demonstrated high tariff negative behaviours to aid them in being successful during their school career.
It is essential that the appointed applicant has minimum GCSE Grade 4 and above or equivalent in Maths and English. As multiple home visits are a part of the role, the ideal candidate should hold a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle for business use.

Our children have access to a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities; sport, drama and music play a central part of our offer, as well as a wide-ranging variety of clubs and activities across the school.
Supported by a strong, committed pastoral and support team, our young people are able to develop the skills, knowledge, and resilience for their lives beyond Shoeburyness High School.
We ‘Expect Excellence’ in all aspects of our school and this is our guiding principle to ensure that our school community thrives.
We are proud to be a part of the Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT) along with Bournes Green Infant School, Bournes Green Junior School, Hinguar Primary School, Richmond Avenue Primary School and Thorpedene Primary School and Nursery.
