HR Administrator job summary
The Opportunity
We are looking for an organised, proactive and digitally confident HR Administrator to join our Central People Team. This is an opportunity to provide a high-quality HR administration service that supports colleagues and schools across Brooke Weston Trust.
You will join us at an important stage in the development of our People service, as we create more consistent, efficient and digitally enabled ways of working across the Trust. The role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to help shape processes that improve the experience of candidates, employees and school-based colleagues.
If you enjoy bringing order to detailed processes, providing excellent service and finding better ways to get things done, we would love to hear from you.
The role is predominantly based in the office - with opportunity for home working.
About the Role
As HR Administrator, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of key employee lifecycle processes, from recruitment and pre-employment checks through to contractual changes, payroll administration and leaver processes. You will prepare employment documentation, maintain accurate records, respond to routine enquiries and help ensure that requests are completed or escalated appropriately.
Safer recruitment will be an important part of the role. You will coordinate recruitment administration, communicate with candidates, complete and record pre-employment checks and support the maintenance of the Single Central Record. You will handle personal information with care and ensure that records and processes meet the Trust’s safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality requirements.
The role is not only about completing transactions. You will use our HR systems, Microsoft 365 and digital tools to make processes clearer, simpler and more resilient. Working alongside HR Officers and the wider People Team, you will help identify opportunities to reduce manual activity, improve workflows and provide a responsive, consistent service across our schools.
We are looking for someone with previous HR administration experience, strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You will be able to manage competing deadlines, communicate professionally and use sound judgement about when a query needs to be referred to an HR colleague. Experience of using SharePoint, Power Automate or similar digital tools would be an advantage, but a willingness to learn and improve how we work is equally important.
Be part of something bigger
At Brooke Weston Trust, we believe education has the power to transform lives. Our purpose is to give every child and young person the knowledge, qualifications, confidence, character and opportunities that become their tickets for life.
Each of our schools has its own identity, shaped by the community it serves, while benefiting from being part of a connected and collaborative Trust. Together, we share ideas, expertise and opportunities so that our pupils, colleagues and schools can flourish.
Whatever your role, you will be part of a wider team united by a shared purpose. Whether you work directly with pupils or support their education in another way, your contribution helps to create the experiences and opportunities every child deserves.
A simple question guides our decisions and keeps children at the centre of our work:
Is this good enough for our children?

Our people are central to everything we achieve. We want every colleague to feel that they belong, are valued for their contribution and are supported to build a fulfilling career.

You will be part of a professional community that shares knowledge, celebrates success and works together to make a lasting difference to children, families and communities.
We are committed to creating positive and inclusive working environments built on trust, respect and shared responsibility. We want colleagues to feel supported to do their best work, encouraged to develop and confident that their contribution matters.
