What skills and experience we're looking for

The White Hills Park Trust comprises six successful schools across Nottinghamshire, three primary, two secondary (one including a sixth form) and one special school. The Trust is embarking on a period of steady growth with further schools joining us in due course.

Our staff work closely together to deliver high quality teaching and learning, share good practice, pool resources and participate in joint projects for the benefit of pupils.

This is an exciting time for the Trust as we continue to grow, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to become part of our small HR team. We are a friendly, supportive and lively team and we are looking for a confident, flexible and ambitious individual to join us in providing an exceptional service to our schools. As HR Advisor, you will provide professional advice and guidance to leaders on policies and procedures, terms and conditions and other HR related matters. You will be responsible for the strategic and proactive case management of long- and short-term sickness absences and advising on a range of other employee relation cases.

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Has significant experience of providing high quality advice to managers and senior leaders on a range of HR issues.
  • Has significant experience of successfully managing their own case load, from end to end.
  • Is confident, knowledgeable and able to adapt their style to a range of different audiences.
  • Wishes to develop their skills and knowledge further and is committed to their own continuous improvement.
  • Is flexible and able to demonstrate both critical and creative thinking.
  • Can work well in a team and make a positive contribution.

Although it would be useful, it is not essential that you have experience in the field of Education, as training will be provided. What is important is that you have proven HR advisory skills, a positive outlook, are a problem solver, and that you can show resilience and a sense of humor in this fast paced and challenging environment.
