Due to internal movement this role has been designed to provide a comprehensive HR service at The Oxford Academy (TOA) and to manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Team.

You will have a dotted reporting line to the Headteacher for operational requirements and will directly report into the RLT Head of HR Business Partnering. You will be considered part of the RLT Central HR Team.

While you are based at TOA, you will spend one day a week with the Central HR Team and other HR Business Partners. You will be included in Central HR Team and development meetings and all CPLD events delivered for the team.

Initially you will be dedicated to TOA developing the HR Team and aligning all HR processes to where they need to be according to trust policy and statutory guidelines. Over time you will begin to support other trust schools and develop as a multi site HR Business Partner.

What skills / experience are required

The successful candidate will have Schools HR experience with a successful track record in managing employee relations, be highly organised and a strong communicator with an ability to build strong working relationships within The Oxford Academy and with RLT Central Team colleagues. You are either already a HRBP or aspiring to be one!

The role is offered flexibly. The exact hours and working pattern can be tailored to the needs of the successful candidate. Ideally the role will be 37 hours per week (no less than 30 hours per week) with a minimum of 42 working weeks per year (Term time + Inset days + 3 weeks closure period working including the last week of the summer closure period) up to 52 weeks per year
